It Would Seem Christmas Toy Predictions Are Up
Tuesday, July 20th, 2010The predictions have already started to come in for the toys that are going to be selling well in Christmas 2010 and I have to say I am not surprised at all by some of them that have come in. So without further ado, here are the predictions for Christmas 2010.
Buzz Lightyear
This was always going to be one that I put forward for this year anyway and this is thanks to the fact Toy Story 3 is one of the biggest summer blockbusters for not only children but the entire family. Pixar are doing a great job with the merchandising of this franchise and they are going to sell not only Buzz but the rest of the cast in their thousands when it comes to Christmas this year. Pixar’s latest movie is likely to be one of the biggest earners in history if you are including the sale of toys. I am hoping it beats Avatar on this because i love Pixar and the films that they make.
Stinky The Garbage Truck
According to the company that makes this toy it is very much like a transformer (okay maybe they didn’t say that) but it sings, tells jokes and can eat cars. it is going to cost a very expensive 80 pounds when it comes out and is meant to be a boys best friend. To me this is a lot of money for a bit of plastic that can move but perhaps this is just me.
Other Entries
Ben 10 is unsurprisingly top of the list again when it comes to predications along with Zhu Zhu pets which were popular last year and a kid’s video camera making it into the fray too. Other than this I can see traditional toys like train sets along with Scalextric and the odd RC helicopterbeing sold too.
